A process is provided to react anhydrous car- bonate and hydrogen peroxide containing a hydroxy- alkylidene diphosphonic acid to produce 70% to 90% sodium carbonate perhydrate as a product. The pro- cess differs from the prior art in that reaction mixture is substantially dry at all times. The pro- duct is stable even without added stabilizers.
