Inhibitors against the absorption of sodium ion containing as the active ingredient metal salts (excluding sodium salt) of cellulose derivatives of the general formula (I): R-O-A, which effectively inhibit excess common salt existing in the body from being absorbed into the body system and excrete the common salt outside the body actively and safely; preventive or therapeutic agents for disease attributed to the existence of excess common salt or those necessitating restriction on the ingestion of common salt, containing the above metal salts as the active ingredient; and foods containing the same. In said formula R is a cellulose residue; and A is a functional group having an ability to exchange cations.
L'invention concerne des inhibiteurs de l'absorption de l'ion sodium, qui contiennent, comme principe actif, les sels métalliques (à l'exception du sel de sodium) des dérivés cellulosiques représentés par la formule générale (I):R-O-A et qui inhibent efficacement l'absorption des excès de chlorure de sodium présents dans le corps par le système corporel, puis rejettent le chlorure de sodium du corps de manière active et sûre. L'invention concerne également des agents prophylactiques ou thérapeutiques destinés aux maladies que l'on attribue à la présence du chlorure de sodium ou aux maladies nécessitant une restriction de l'ingestion de chlorure de sodium, lesquels agents renferment, comme principe actif, les sels métalliques précités, ainsi que des produits alimentaires contenant lesdits inhibiteurs .Dans la formule (I), R représente un résidu cellulosique ; et A désigne un groupe fonctionnel échangeur de cations.
