Abstract: SODIUM TRIPOLYPHOSPHATE MANUFACTURE In the manufacture of sodium tripolyphosphate, the make up liquor containing the requisite sodium and phosphorus values, is treated with from about 0.01 to 0.1 weight percent of hydrogen peroxide before the liquor is heated to form sodium tripolyphosphate. The hydrogen peroxide treatment prevents dark oily impuri- ties from forming on the surface of aqueous solutions of the sodium tripolyphosphate thus treated.
