SOFT INPLANE HELICOPTER ROTOR Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to a helicopter rotor hub assembly in which a blade grip extends inboard of a yoke and transfers centrifugal forces to the yoke through a spherical elastomeric bearing. Pitch change of the grip and blade is accommodated by the spherical elastomeric bearing which also acts as the pivot point for lead-lag motion of the blade and grip. A lead-lag damper is located inboard of the elastomeric bearing and is connected between one end of the grip spaced away from the lead-lag pivot and the yoke for damping the lead-lag motion between the grip and yoke.
