SOFT TEXTURED HIGH STRENGTH ALKALI BLUE PIGMENT Abstract of the Disclosure A soft textured high strength Alkali Blue pigment is produced (1) by treatment of a caustic solution of Alkali Blue with an alkyl aryl sulfonic acid followed by admixture with an acidified solution of an amine. The mixture is then filtered, washed and dried; or (2) by mixing at high speed a well dispersed, untreated Alkali Blue prescake with an acid solution of an amine and with a solution of an equivalent amount of alkyl aryl sulfonic acid/sulfonate. The pigment is then recovered from the slurry.
