A soft transparent polyethylene resin sheet which comprises a layer of a polyethylene resin and has the following properties (a) to (c): (a) it has a tensile modulus of 20 to 1,000 MPa; (b) the number of foreign particles contained therein which have a refractive index different from that of the noncrystalline resin phase accounting for most of the volume of the sheet is 500 per mm2 on an arbitrary section, and the average length of these foreign particles is 10 µm or shorter; and (c) the surface roughness, Ra, of at least one side of the sheet is 0.2 µm or lower. The polyethylene resin is a copolymer of ethylene and ethylene substituted by a polar group, e.g., an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer.
Cette feuille de résine polyéthylène souple et transparente comportant une couche de résine polyéthylène possède plusieurs caractéristiques (a - c): (a), elle possède un module d'élasticité en traction compris entre 20 et 1 000 Mpa, (b), le nombre de particules étrangères à indice de réfraction différent de celui de la phase résine non cristalline, comptabilisé pour la majeure partie du volume de la feuille, s'élève à 500 par mm?2¿, dans une coupe arbitraire, et la longueur moyenne des particules est égale ou inférieure à 10 µm et, (c), la rugosité de surface, Ra, d'au moins l'un des cotés de la feuille est égale ou inférieure à 0,2 µm. Cette résine polyéthylène consiste en un copolymère d'éthylène ainsi qu'en un copolymère d'éthylène substitué par un groupe polaire, par exemple, un copolymère d'éthylène/acétate de vinyle ou un copolymère d'éthylène/acrylate d'éthyle.
