Computer-implemented methods and apparatus are provided to facilitate the recognition of the content of a body of speech data. In one embodiment, a method for analyzing verbal communication is provided, comprising acts of producing an electronic recording of a plurality of spoken words; processing the electronic recording to identify a plurality of word alternatives for each of the spoken words, each of the plurality of word alternatives being identified by comparing a portion of the electronic recording with a lexicon, and each of the plurality of word alternatives being assigned a probability of correctly identifying a spoken word; loading the word alternatives and the probabilities to a database for subsequent analysis; and examining the word alternatives and the probabilities to determine at least one characteristic of the plurality of spoken words.
L'invention concerne des procédés et dispositifs informatiques servant à faciliter la reconnaissance du contenu d'un ensemble de données vocales. Dans un mode de réalisation, elle concerne un procédé servant à analyser la communication verbale et consistant à produire un enregistrement électronique d'une pluralité de mots énoncés, à traiter cet enregistrement électronique afin d'identifier une pluralité d'alternatives de mots pour chacun des mots énoncés, chacune de ces alternatives étant identifiées par comparaison d'une partie de l'enregistrement électronique à un dictionnaire, une probabilité d'identification correcte d'un mot énoncé étant affectée à chacune de la pluralité des alternatives de mot, à charger ces alternatives de mot et ces probabilités dans une base de données afin de les analyser ultérieurement et à examiner les alternatives de mot et les probabilités afin de déterminer au moins une caractéristique de la pluralité des mots énoncés.
