-1- Abstract The present invention relates to improved laundry cleaning products and methods comprising a soil release polymer coated on the surface of a water-permeable, water-insoluble substrate material. The substrate material is used to carry a laundry detergent composition into an aqueous laundry solution. The soil release polymer and the laundry detergent composition are substantially distinct wherein the substrate material is used to enclose the detergent, and at least part of the substrate is coated with the soil release polymer. The invention provides improved soil release and cleaning performance.
