SOLAR COLLECTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A solar collector of the type used to convert the sun's light rays into heat energy is provided. The solar collector includes a steel plate to absorb the sun's rays. A flat coil of tubular steel is attached to the steel plate by means of the hydrogen brazing process. The surfaces of the steel plate and the tubular coil are preferably coated with a thin layer of copper to form a selective surface to promote the efficient collection of energy.
