ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Improvements in solar energy collectors are disclosed. The claims are directed to a mounting strip for use with solar collectors of the type which include a generally flat collector panel. The strip is of elongate form and defines a cross- sectional shape which is uniform throughout the length of the strip and which defines a laterally directed channel for re- ceiving a side margin of the panel and a base portion disposed laterally of the channel and arranged to overlie a support surface adjacent the panel in use. Solar collector arrays are also claimed in which two such strips are provided between opposed edges of adjacent panels in the array. The strips are inverted with respect to one another and means is provided securing the strips to a support surface below the strips.
