"SOLAR HEAT COLLECTOR STRUCTURE" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A solar heat collector structure comprises a duct means for throughflow of heat exchange liquid which is transparent or translucent, the duct means being a panel formed with a plurality of channels therethrough disposed between header means for supply to and removal from the panel of heat exchange liquid supplied in use to the structure, a wall member behind the duct means which, on its front surface, is adapted to reflect substantially all solar radiation thereon. This ensures that substantially that all solar radiation is incident on the front of the structure is absorbed by the heat exchange liquid flowing therethrough. The heat exchange liquid is preferably flowing in a closed circuit for indirect heat exchange with for example domestic water supply, the heat exchange liquid being sufficiently darkly coloured to enhance absorbtion of solar radiation but not sufficient to block out totally passage of solar radiation therethrough. Particularly when the panel is formed of polypropylene or polycarbonate, it is capable of being soldered transversely and this allows a principal of the structure of the invention to be extended to solar fences for use by swimming pools for heating of swimming pool water. It is preferred that a transparent or translucent wall member be positioned in front of the panel for throughflow of heat exchange liquid and that transparent or translucent heat exchange material be present between this wall member and the panel.
