A solar heater comprises a supply water conduit having an inlet and an outlet, for receiving water to be heated from a source, and a heated water conduit having an inlet and an outlet, for carrying heated water to a destination. A main body has a substantially hollow interior, and an inlet and an outlet, for passing water therethrough while heating the water. The inlet of the main body is in fluid communication with the supply water conduit and the outlet of the main body is in fluid communication with the heated water conduit. The main body is secured to the supply water conduit and the heated water conduit by a suitable acrylic adhesive in order to form a leak-proof seal. In use, water flows in through the supply water conduit and into the substantially hollow interior of the main body. The main body is exposed to solar radiation, thereby heating the water within the substantially hollow interior of the main body. The heated water flows from the substantially hollow interior of the main body and into the heated water conduit, and flows out through the heated water conduit.
