A sun-tracking daylighting apparatus for directing sunlight into a building through a light-reflecting means (30) comprises the light-reflecting means (30) for reflecting sunlight, a drive means (60) for driving the light- reflecting means, a control means (70) for directing the light-reflecting means toward the sun by controlling the drive means, and a power supply means (20) for supplying power to the drive and control means. The power supply means (20) is charged by a solar cell panel (40) and provided with a main power supply (22) for supplying power to the drive means (60) and the control means (70) and a backup secondary cell (24) charged by the main power supply and adapted to supply power to the control means (70). The control means (70) is provided with a real-time clock means (75) for measuring the time and a CPU (76) for calculating the azimuth of the sun according to the information on the time measured by the clock means and thereby controlling the operation of the drive means. The operation mode of the CPU (76) is switched from a sleep mode to an active mode according to the time information from the real-time clock means (75).

Le moyen de commande (70) est doté d'une horloge en temps réel (75) servant à mesurer le temps et d'une unité centrale (76) servant à calculer l'azimut du soleil selon les informations de temps mesurées par l'horloge, pour la commande du fonctionnement du moyen de commande. Le mode de fonctionnement de l'unité centrale (76) est commuté d'un mode d'attente à un mode actif selon les informations de temps fournies par l'horloge en temps réel (75).
