ABSTRACT The present invention provides solid additives with an adjustable rate of dissolving for binding agents hard- ening with water, wherein the additives are in the form of aggregates, consisting of fine particles, with a grain size of from 0.1 to 10 mm. The present invention also provides a process for regulating the working time of binding agents hardening with water, wherein use is made of the new solid additives in aggregate form.
