A pharmaceutical composition which has excellent effects of promptly neutralizing the initial pH immediately after the administration without excessively increasing it, and of sustaining the optimum pH; which is useful for providing a solid antacid which exhibits excellent antacid effects based on the above effects; and which comprises, as antacid ingredients for a solid antacid, a low neutralizing capacity antiacid (having an initial pH less than 6 when tested in accordance with the modified Fuchs method using 30 ml of 0.05N hydrochloric acid and single dosage; e.g., dried aluminum hydroxide gel) and a high neutralizing capacity antiacid (having the initial pH of at least 6 when tested as described above; e.g., magnesium hydroxide) coated with a pH-independent and water-insoluble polymer base (e.g., an aqueous dispersion of ethyl cellulose); and a production process thereof.
Composition pharmaceutique constituée d'un antiacide solide permettant de neutraliser rapidement l'acidité sans augmenter le pH initial immédiatement après son administration, et présentant un excellent effet de maintien du pH optimal, ainsi qu'une excellente action antiacide découlant des effets susmentionnés. Cette composition contient comme ingrédient actif un mélange d'un antiacide faiblement neutralisant (présentant un pH initial inférieur à 6 lors d'un test selon la méthode de Fuchs modifiée, utilisant 30 ml d'acide chlorhydrique 0,05 N et une dose unique d'échantillon, par exemple un gel d'hydroxyde d'aluminium) et un antiacide fortement neutralisant (présentant un pH initial supérieur à 6 lors d'un test dans des conditions similaires, par exemple de l'hydroxyde de magnésium), recouvert d'une base macromoléculaire insoluble dans l'eau indépendante du pH (par exemple une dispersion aqueuse d'éthylcellulose).
