A solid-fuel-burning stove system for heating a space includes a body defining a combustion chamber and a fuel chamber. The body includes a lid that covers the fuel chamber and is openable to allow fuel loading and closable to cover the fuel chamber. A heat exchanger element is removably mountable adjacent and in communication with the combustion chamber, and includes a heat exchanger surface. A heat-echanger-cleaner subelement is coupled to the lid so that the opening and closing of the lid will cause the subelement to clean the heat exchanger surface. The system also includes a heat-exchanger-baffle subelement positionable adjacent the heat exchanger surface and operative to direct hot gas emanating from the combustion chamber in a way that promotes the exchange of heat from the combustion chamber to the space.

Cette invention concerne un appareil de chauffage d'ambiance à combustible solide qui comprend un corps délimitant une chambre de combustion et une enceinte de stockage de combustible. Le corps comporte, au-dessus de l'enceinte de stockage, un couvercle ouvrant pour permettre l'approvisionnement de l'appareil. Un échangeur de chaleur amovible disposé à côté de la chambre de combustion communique avec celle-ci.
