ABSTRACT A method of solid-liquid separation in the treatment of organic waste sludge, characterized by adding to the sludge from 0.5 to 30% by weight of hydrogen peroxide and from 0.1% to 10% by weight of a metal ion with tri or higher valent positive charge on the basis of solid con- tent of the sludge while maintaining the pH at or lower than 9 by the addition of an acid or alkali to form stable organic flocs and subsequently conducting solid-liquid separation by setting, suction or centrifugal separation process.
