A miscible blend of two acrylic polymers, one of which contains a poly(1, 2-alkyleneoxy) side chain, with a soluble lithium salt yields a conducting polymer system useful in small rechargeable batteries without the need for volatile polar solvents. By employing one polymer with a glass temperature below -35°C. in conjunction with control of molecular weight of both components, a flexible filmmay be formed by conventional thermoplastic methods. The conductive salt, preferably LiN(CF3SO2)2), may be incorporated during the polymerization which forms the acrylic polymers.

Un mélange miscible de deux polymères d'acrylique, dont un contient une chaîne latérale poly(1, 2-alcénylèneoxy), avec un sel de lithium soluble donne un système conducteur polymérique utile dans la production de piles rechargeables de petite taille sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'utiliser de solvants polaires volatiles. L'utilisation d'un polymère ayant une température de transition vitreuse inférieure à -35 degrés C combinée au contrôle du poids moléculaire de deux constituants permet de fabriquer une pellicule flexible par les méthodes traditionnelles employées dans la fabrication des produits thermoplastiques. Le sel conducteur, de préférence LiN(CF3SO2)2), peut être incorporé durant la polymérisation qui donne les polymères d'acrylique.
