ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a solid state sensor for measuring the charge of lead acid batteries. According to the invention, the sensor features a pair of auxiliary electrodes immersed in the electrolyte of the battery and connected electrically, at the other end, to the terminals of a voltage sensor.
