A SOLID TRANSFER APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A solids transfer apparatus comeprises at least one closed tank provided with a suction opening and a dis- charge opening, a suction valve communicated with the suction opening, a discharge valve communicated with the discharge opening, a pressure reduction means for intro- ducing solids into the closed tank and a supply means for discharging solids in fluid out of the closed tank whereby solids can be transferred, and the apparatus is further provided with a removing means comprising a water supply means and a solids removing valve so that solids in the suction valve are removed away before the suction valve is closed.
