A B S T R A C T SOLUTION OF 3-ALKYLTHIO-4-AMINO-6-TERT.- BUTYL-1,2,4-TRIAZIN-5-ONES IN NORMALLY LIQUID N-ARYL-N-ALKOXYALKYL-HALOACETAMIDES In the preparation of an aqueous herbicidal composition containing a 3-alkylthio-4-amino-5-tert.- butyl-1,2,4-triazin-5-one and a N-aryl-N-alkoxyalkyl haloacetamide, the improvement which comprises dissolving the triazinone in at least twice its weight of the haloacetamide, and adding such solution to water. Advantageously an emulsifier is present and, if desired, prior to addition to water the solution is diluted with a solvent selected from the group consisting of a normally liquid optionally halogenated and/or alkylated aromatic hydrocarbon. This permits simplified preparation by the farmer of the aqueous dispersion he will apply to crops and fields.
