Chronic Otitis Media with Effusion (COME), Recurrent Acute Otitis Media (RAOM), cholesteatoma, chronic rhinosinusitis and other bacterial ear, nose or throat conditions may be treated by applying a solvating system to a bacterial biofilm attached or adhered to the treatment site. The biofilm is disrupted and a protective layer of a polymeric film-forming medical sealant is applied to the treatment site.
