A process for the extraction of palladium from an aqueous medium containing palladium and halide or pseudo-halide ions using as extractant a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carbonamide or ester characterised in that the total concentration of free halide and pseudo- halide in the aqueous medium is less than 1 molar.

Un procédé permet d'extraire le palladium d'un milieu aqueux qui contient ce palladium ainsi que des ions halogénure ou pseudo-halogénure. L'agent d'extraction utilisé est un carbonamide ou un ester hétérocyclique contenant de l'azote. Ce procédé se caractérise par la concentration totale en halogénure ou pseudo-halogénure libre du milieu aqueux, qui est inférieure à 1 mole.
