An aqueous dispersion including polymeric microparticles which are prepared in a medium substantially free of organic solvent from a mixture of one or more reaction products of polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomers, and one or more reactive organopolysiloxanes is provided. Pigmented film-forming compositions, curable compositions and topcoats of multi-component composite coating composition containing the above described dispersions also are provided. The substantially solvent-free film-forming compositions of the invention are storage stable at room temperature and provide coating with excellent application properties such as sag resistance and tack-free overspray, and excellent performance properties such as hardness and scratch resistance. The film-forming compositions are suitable for wet-on-wet application over a base coat with little or no mudcracking.
Cette invention se rapporte à une dispersion aqueuse contenant des microparticules polymères qui sont préparées dans un milieu essentiellement exempt de solvants organiques à partir d'un mélange d'un ou de plusieurs produits de réaction de monomères polymérisables, éthyléniquement insaturés, et d'un ou de plusieurs organopolysiloxanes réactifs. Cette invention concerne également des compositions filmogènes pigmentées, des compositions durcissables et des couches de finition à base d'une composition de revêtement composite à plusieurs composants contenant ces dispersions. Ces compositions filmogènes essentiellement sans solvant sont stables à l'entreposage à température ambiante et fournissent des revêtements ayant d'excellentes propriétés d'application, telles que la résistance à la coulure et la surpulvérisation hors poisse, ainsi que d'excellentes propriétés de performances, telles que la dureté et la résistance aux rayures. Ces compositions filmogènes se prêtent à une application de type mouillé sur mouillé sur un revêtement de base avec peu ou pas de fissuration de dessiccation.
