The invention relates to a process for preparing a thiuram disulfide comprising reacting a secondary amine with carbon disulfide in the presence of oxygen and a metal catalyst in the absence of a solvent using a secondary amine of which the corresponding thiuram disulfide is liquid under the reaction conditions. The invention also pertains to the use of said thiuram disulfide as a vulcanization accelerator or lubricant oil additive.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un bisulfure de thiurame consistant à faire réagir une amine secondaire avec du disulfide de carbone en présence d'oxygène et d'un catalyseur métallique en l'absence d'un solvant en utilisant une amine secondaire, dont le disulfide de thiurame correspondant est liquide dans les conditions de réaction. Cette invention a également trait à l'utilisation dudit thiurame de disulfide en tant qu'accélérateur de vulcanisation ou additif d'huile lubrifiante.
