Somatostatin analogues comprising the amino acid sequence of the formula (I): - (D/L)Trp-Lys-X1-X2, wherein X1 is a substituted Thr, Ser, Tyr, Glu or Cys residue and X2 is an .alpha.-amino acid having an aromatic residue on the C.alpha. side chain, or an amino acid unit selected from Dab, Dpr, Dpm, His (Bzl)HyPro, thienyl-Ala, cyclohexyl-Ala and t.-butyl-Ala, the residue Lys of said sequence corresponding to the residue Lys9 of the native somatostatin-14, in free form, in salt form or complexed with a detectable element have interesting pharmacological properties.

Cette invention se rapporte à des analogues de somatostatine comportant la séquence d'acides aminés représentée par la formule (I) -(D/L)Trp-Lys-X1-X2 dans laquelle X1 est un résidu substitué de Thr, Ser, Tyr, Glu ou Cys et X2 est un alpha aminoacide ayant un résidu aromatique sur la chaîne latérale C alpha , ou un motif aminoacide sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par Dab, Dpr, Dpm, His, (Bzl)HyPro, thiényl-Ala, cyclohexyl-Ala et t.-butyl-Ala, le résidu Lys de cette séquence correspondant au résidu Lys<9> de la somatostatine-14 à l'état naturel, sous forme libre, sous forme de sel ou sous forme complexée avec un élément décelable. Ces analogues de somatostatine possèdent d'intéressantes propriétés pharmacologiques.
