Particulate sorbent compositions comprising a mixture of zinc oxide, silica, alumina and a substantially reduced valence cobalt are provided for the desulfurization of a feedstream of cracked- gasoline or diesel fuels in a desulfurization zone by a process which comprises the contacting of such feedstreams in a desulfurization zone followed by separation of the resulting low sulfur-containing stream and sulfurized-sorbent and thereafter regenerating and activating the separated sorbent before recycle of same to the desulfurization zone.
La présente invention concerne des compositions de sorbant particulaire comprenant un mélange d'oxyde de zinc, de silice, d'alumine et de cobalt de valence sensiblement réduite, destinées à la désulfuration d'un flux d'alimentation d'essence de craquage ou de carburants diesel dans une zone de désulfuration par un processus qui consiste: à mettre en contact ces flux d'alimentation dans une zone de désulfuration par la séparation du flux de basse teneur en souffre et du sorbant sulfuré, puis à régénérer et activer le sorbant séparé avant de le recycler dans la zone de désulfuration.
