The invention relates to an improved sound absorbing cementitious composition and method of making involving a preformed foam solution made from a surfactant, such as an ammonium salt of a sulfated linear alcohol ethoxylate surfactant, preblended with water at a dilution ratio in a range of water to surfactant of from about 40:1 to 10:1. Thereafter, the preformed foam solution is combined with components including cement(s), aggregate(s), water and optional additives. The composition provides for an open cellular surface capable of absorbing sound.
L'invention concerne une composition insonorisante améliorée à base de ciment, et un procédé de fabrication qui consiste à utiliser une solution sous forme de mousse préformée renfermant un tensioactif, par exemple, un sel d'ammonium de tensioactif à base d'éthoxylate d'alcool linéaire sulfaté, lequel est prémélangé avec de l'eau selon un rappport de dilution eau/tensioactif compris entre environ 40:1 et 10:1. Ensuite, on mélange ladite solution avec des constituants parmi lesquels figurent un ou des ciments, un ou des agrégats, de l'eau, et des additifs à titre facultatif. Ce type de composition permet d'obtenir une surface cellulaire ouverte insonorisante.
