ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A function generating system such as a telephone rinser, which is sound or voice-controlled in that when the signal is first applied by the caller it results in a series of digits or other sounds emitted by a receiver. The caller follows each of these sounds by either a responsive sound or silence. When the responsive sounds correspond to n programmed code, the function is activated.
