A sink (10), and a method of reducing vibration and resulting noise of such sinks, are disclosed. The sink includes a basin (20), a drain (8), and first and second pads (32, 48). The basin has a bottom wall (12), side walls (22, 24, 26, 28), and inner and outer surfaces (16, 18) of such walls. The drain is in the bottom of the basin, and first and second regions are defined between the drain orifice and the first and second sides, respectively. The pads are attached to the bottom and a side wall, in each case proximate respective midpoints of open regions thereon. The pads are laminate of a rubber-like material and metal.
L'invention concerne un lavabo ou un évier (10), ainsi qu'un procédé visant à réduire les vibrations de ceux-ci et le bruit résultant de ces vibrations. Ce lavabo ou cet évier comprend une cuvette (20), un orifice de vidange (8), ainsi qu'un premier et un second tampon (32, 48). La cuvette comporte une paroi inférieure (12), des parois latérales (22, 24, 26, 28) et des surfaces intérieures et extérieures (16, 18) relatives à ces parois. L'orifice de vidange est situé dans le fond de la cuvette, une première et une seconde région étant définies de chaque côté de cet orifice entre ledit orifice et respectivement la première et la seconde paroi latérale. Les tampons sont fixés au fond de la cuvette et sur une paroi latérale, à proximité du point central de la région découverte du fond ou de la paroi. Ces tampons se présentent sous la forme de produits stratifiés constitués d'un matériau de type caoutchouc et de métal.
