The invention relates to a sound-damping partition, especially for the internal equipment of buildings. The partition consists essentially of a timber sub-frame (10) and two sets of planking (18, 20) on either wide side (12, 14) of the sub-frame (10) leaving a hollow space (16) filled with air and damping materials (36). To obtain improved airborne sound damping using simple means, the invention proposes that one of the sets of planking (20) be secured to the sub-frame (10) by means of thick-walled, soft elastic beads of adhesive (32) while the other set of planking (18) is rigidly clamped to said sub-frame (10).

L'invention se rapporte à une cloison insonorisante destinée principalement à l'aménagement intérieur de bâtiments. Cette cloison comprend essentiellement un soubassement en bois, en forme de cadre (10) et deux revêtements (18, 20) disposés sur les parements (12, 14) du soubassement (10) opposés l'un à l'autre, tout en ménageant un espace libre rempli d'air et de matériaux isolants (36). En vue d'obtenir une meilleure isolation du bruit transmis par l'air en recourant à des moyens simples, il est prévu, conformément à l'invention, que l'un des revêtements (20) soit fixé au soubassement (10) au moyen de cordons d'adhésif (32), épais, élastiquement mous, tandis que l'autre revêtement (18) est fixé de façon rigide audit soubassement.
