A sound enclosure for a pressure swing adsorption apparatus producing an oxygen concentrated gas having two sections to enclose the apparatus, the apparatus nested in the enclosure and the enclosure having an inlet for allowing ambient air into the enclosure and an outlet for enabling waste gases from the apparatus to exit the enclosure, and causing the ambient air and waste gases substantially to change direction within the enclosure before entering or exiting the apparatus. The sound enclosure further includes a flexible seal for isolating from each other the interior spaces of the two sections when a pressure swing adsorption apparatus is enclosed by the enclosure. Also disclosed is a compact and highly portable combination pressure swing adsorption apparatus and product gas conservation device for medical use, to produce efficiently a gas with a high concentration of oxygen and to deliver the oxygen concentrated gas to a, user at selectable times and in selectable doses.
L'invention concerne une enceinte d'insonorisation pour un appareil d'adsorption modulée en pression produisant un gaz concentré en oxygène, cette enceinte étant constituée par deux parties pour enfermer l'appareil. L'appareil est logé dans l'enceinte qui est dotée d'une entrée permettant à l'air ambiant de pénétrer dans l'enceinte et d'une sortie pour que les effluents gazeux de l'appareil sortent de l'enceinte, l'air ambiant et les effluents gazeux changeant ainsi sensiblement de direction à l'intérieur de l'enceinte avant de pénétrer dans l'appareil ou d'en sortir. Cette enceinte d'insonorisation comporte en outre une étanchéité souple pour isoler les espaces intérieurs des deux parties entre eux lorsque l'appareil d'adsorption modulée en pression est enfermé dans l'enceinte. La présente invention porte également sur une combinaison compacte et portable, comprenant un appareil d'adsorption modulée en pression et un dispositif de conservation de gaz produit, cette combinaison étant destinée à un usage médical pour produire de manière efficace du gaz à forte concentration d'oxygène et administrer ce gaz concentré en oxygène à un utilisateur à des moments déterminés et à des doses définies.
