A multilayered, sound-insulating, mechanically strong sandwich element comprising two facing layers (1) substantially attached to a plastic foam core consisting of at least two layers (2) which are joined through contact points (also called bridges) (3) creating a gap or gaps (4) between the core layers (2), and in case of long spans and/or thin facing layers, travel stops inside the gap/gaps (4) to keep the core layers (2) at a certain distance from each other, wherein the core layer material is a semi-rigid, cellular material containing more than 50 percent open cells, and has a tensile strength of more than 50kPa, and has a compressive strength from 5 to 200kPa, at 10 percent deformation. The distance between the contact points or bridges (3) is at least 350 mm. The new sandwich element can be used as a sound-insulating door, a partition element or a construction unit.
L'invention concerne un élément en sandwich multicouche, d'isolation phonique résistant mécaniquement comprenant deux couches de parement (1) fixées sensiblement à une âme en mousse plastique constituée d'au moins deux couches (2) lesquelles sont jointes par des points de contact (également appelés ponts) (3) créant un espace ou des espaces (4) entre les couches d'âme (2) et, dans le cas de longues portées et/ou de couches de parement minces, des butées à l'intérieur de l'espace/des espaces (4) afin de maintenir les couches d'âme (2) à une certaine distance l'une de l'autre, le matériau de la couche d'âme étant un matériau cellulaire contenant plus de 50 % d'alvéoles ouverts, et il présente une résistance à la traction supérieure à 50 kPa, ainsi qu'une résistance à la compression de 5 à 200 kPa, pour une déformation de 10 %. La distance entre les points de contact ou ponts (3) est d'au moins 350 mm. Le nouvel élément en sandwich peut être utilisé comme porte d'isolation phonique, élément de cloison ou unité de construction.
