A sound reverberator for a string musical instrument (10) having a sound box (11") a strings (13) tensioned over a saddle member (14) of a bridge piece (15) connected to a top wall (11) of the sound box. The reverberator comprises one or more pretensioned springs secured internally of the sound box. A metallic transfer member is secured to a free end of the spring internally of the sound box. The transfer member is displacedly supported under the strings by a finger actuated (30, 31) displaceable support element (30) for releasably engaging the springs of the musical instrument to transfer vibrations from the strings to the one or more metal springs whereby to produce sound vibrations internally of the sound box to modify the tonality of the sound generated by the sound box as a result of setting the strings in vibration.

Réflecteur de son pour instrument de musique à cordes (10) possédant une table d'harmonie (11'') et des cordes (13) tendues sur le sillet (14) d'un chevalet (15) fixé sur la cloison supérieure (11) de la table d'harmonie. Le réflecteur est constitué d'un ou plusieurs ressorts prétendus fixés à la face interne de la table d'harmonie. Un élément métallique de transmission, fixé à une extrémité libre du ressort, à l'intérieur de la table d'harmonie, est monté sous les cordes de manière à être déplacé par un élément support (30) déplaçable actionné par une patte (30, 31), ce qui permet d'immobiliser puis de relâcher les ressorts de l'instrument afin de transmettre à un ou plusieurs ressorts métalliques les vibrations provenant des cordes. Ainsi, on peut produire des vibrations sonores à l'intérieur de la table d'harmonie et donc modifier la tonalité du son généré par la table d'harmonie suite à la mise en vibration des cordes.
