A commercial steel sparger for use in high pressure and associated or non- associated sour natural gas environments is disclosed. The sparger is used to disperse sour natural inside a sweeting tower/ sulphide treatment vessel to facilitate an efficient transfer of hydrogen sulphide or carbon dioxide from the sour natural gas to a sweeting chemical inside the tower/sulphide treatment vessel. The steel sparger is formed from standard commercial steel metal substrate. The outer surface of the metal exposed to the sulphide treatment environment is protected with a corrosion resistant layer/ coating. The corrosion resistant layer/coating protects the substrate metal from corrosive environment of the sour natural gas inside or outside of the sparger. Corrosion resistant material may be selected for substrate metal so as to provide for sufficient protection to prevent the metal from corrosion and sulphide stress cracking (scc) that is common in these environments.
L'invention porte sur un arroseur rotatif de gaz naturel acide en acier commercial conçu pour les milieux haute pression associés ou non associés à la présence de gaz naturel acide. Ledit arroseur sert à disperser le gaz naturel acide à l'intérieur d'une tour d'adoucissement et/ou d'un réservoir de traitement des sulfures pour faciliter le transfert efficace du sulfure d'hydrogène ou du dioxyde de carbone du gaz naturel acide à un produit chimique adoucissant à l'intérieur d'une tour d'adoucissement et/ou d'un réservoir de traitement des sulfures. Cet arroseur est fait d'un substrat d'acier commercial standard. La surface métallique exposée au milieu de traitement des sulfures est protégée par un revêtement anticorrosion qui protège le substrat métallique de l'effet corrosif des milieux contenant du gaz naturel acide, à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur de l'arroseur. Le matériau anticorrosion peut être sélectionné pour un substrat métallique de façon à lui donner une protection suffisante contre la corrosion et la fissuration sous contrainte exercée par les sulfures qui se produit couramment dans de tels milieux.
