A method including receiving at least one search term (e.g. HIV) from an interface (64) (e.g. a web browser on a personal computer). The method may search a network (66) for documents (e.g. web pages) that include at least a portion of the search term. The method may determine the source (e.g. news outlets such as National Geographic or the National Enquirer) and sort the documents based on the source of the documents. A search engine may implement a method that uses the source to qualify (e.g. sort) search results based on the source of the documents.

L'invention porte sur une méthode consistant à recevoir un terme recherché (par exemple VIH) dans une interface (64) (par exemple le navigateur Web d'un PC) et à rechercher dans un réseau (66) des documents (par exemple des pages du Web) incluant au moins une partie du terme recherché. La méthode peut déterminer la source (par exemple des parutions telles que le National Geographic ou le National Enquirer) et trier les documents en fonction de leur source. L'invention porte également sur un moteur de recherche mettant en oeuvre une méthode utilisant une source pour qualifier (par exemple trier) les résultats d'une recherche sur la base de la source des documents.
