ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sowing assembly is disclosed for single-seed sowing machines in which the housing forms a vacuum chamber. In the housing is mounted a drive shaft which carries a mounting plate to which, in turn, an aperture plate is releasably fixed. The radially outer edge of the plate is supported on a seal located at the edge of the vacuum chamber. A pot-shaped cover member which is supported on the edge of the vacuum chamber forms a seed holding chamber which communicates with a seed receptacle.
