A spa control circuit (14) is provided for regulating a water circulation and heating system (12) in a spa or hot tub or the like. The control circuit comprises a thermostat circuit (44) and a high temperature limit circuit (50) both of which receive a temperature signal from a common temperature sensor (46). A safety circuit (82) responds to sensor failure to prevent operation of the circulation/heating system. A latching relay (74) ensures system reset in the same operational state following a power outage. An arc suppression circuit (56) substantially prevents arc damage to relay contacts subjected to frequent opening and closing in response to on-off cycling of the thermostat circuit. In a preferred form, the control circuit (14) components are mounted within a compact housing (22) having a heat transfer member in heat exchange relation with circulating spa water, whereby the spa water is used to prevent overheating of the control circuit components.
Circuit (14) de commande pour cuve thermale destiné à réguler un système (12) de circulation et de chauffage d'eau dans une cuve thermale ou un bain chaud ou analogue. Ledit circuit de commande comprend un circuit (44) de thermostat et un circuit (50) de limite de température élevée recevant tous deux un signal de température provenant d'un capteur (46) de température commun. Un circuit de sécurité (82) répond à la panne du capteur pour empêcher la mise en route du système de circulation/chauffage. Un relais encliqueté (74) assure la remise en route du système dans les mêmes conditions de fonctionnement à la suite d'une panne de courant. Un circuit (56) de mise à la terre empêche sensiblement les dommages d'arc subis par les contact de relais soumis à des ouvertures et fermetures féquentes en réponse au cycle marche/arrêt du circuit de thermostat. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, les composants dudit circuit (14) de commande sont montés dans un boîtier (22) compact doté d'un élément de transfert de chaleur en relation d'échange de chaleur avec de l'eau thermale circulante, l'eau thermale étant utilisée pour empêcher la surchauffe des composants du circuit de commande.
