An electrochemical cell system and method are described. The electrochemical cell system provides a matrix of reaction cells (110) with a first electrode in each cell (110) and a single multiple element counter electrode (120, 130) wherein there is a separate element which is inserted into each cell (110). Methods and applications of the multiple electrode platform are described. Also described are modified electrodes having immobilized redox catalysts at the electrode surfaces and their use in optimizing performance in electrochemical processes.

L'invention concerne un système de cellule électrochimique et un procédé y relatif. Le système de cellule électrochimique comprend une matrice de cellules de réaction présentant une première électrode dans chaque cellule et un seul élément multiple à électrode antagoniste où il est prévu un élément séparé qui est inséré dans chaque cellule. L'invention concerne des procédés et des applications de la plate-forme multi-électrode. L'invention concerne en outre des électrodes modifiées comportant des catalyseurs rédox immobilisés aux surfaces des électrodes, ainsi que leur utilisation en vue d'obtenir un rendement optimum dans les procédés électrochimiques.
