A method and apparatus for spatially filtering a signal set to enhance interface echoes representing a borehole (111) configuration. The spatial filtering technique provides information regarding the various interfaces (123, 125, 127) formed between materials in the borehole environment, as well as thicknesses of the various materials present in the borehole. Further, the presence of channels (129) formed during the cementing procedure are detected.

La technique de filtrage spatial fournit de l'information sur les différentes interfaces (123, 125, 127) formées entre des matériaux se trouvant dans l'environnement d'un trou de forage, ainsi que sur l'épaisseur des différents matériaux présents dans le trou. De plus, la présence de passages (129) formés au cours de la procédure de cémentation peut également être détectée.
