A spatio-temporal equaliser is described, for use with adaptive antenna arrays, in base stations of cellular systems, and in the presence of time- varying channels and/or non-stationary interferers. The beamforming coefficients and the coefficients of the decision feedback equaliser are jointly adapted, using a single error function, with processing based on Cholesky factorisation techniques. The processing procedes from the midamble outwards, and is implemented as a systolic array.

L'invention concerne un égaliseur spatio-temporel utilisé avec des réseaux d'antennes adaptatives de stations de base de systèmes cellulaires, cet égalisateur fonctionnant en présence de canaux variables dans le temps et/ou de brouilleurs non fixes. Les coefficients de formation du faisceau et les coefficients de l'égalisateur à décision rétroactive sont conjointement réglés, au moyen d'une intégrale de probabilité, le traitement s'appuyant sur des techniques de factorisation de cholesky. Ce traitement s'effectue du mi-ambule vers l'extérieur, comme un réseau systolique.
