SPECIFIC INHIBITOR FOR THE RELEASE OF ALDOSTERONE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE New heptapeptides having specific inhibitory properties for the release of aldosterone from the adrenal cortex have been found. The new compounds resemble angio- tensin II except for the two terminal amino acids. Tne N- terminal amino acid (aspartic acid) is absent, while the C-terminus is occupied by L-alanine, L-threonine or L-isoleucine.
