ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An incandescent radiation lamp of improved efficiency in the infrared range comprises a filament centrally positioned within a windowed spherical reflecting surface, which re-images both visible and infrared radiation onto the filament. The visible component of the re-imaged radiation is absorbed by the filament to increase power efficiency, whereby the visible component of radiation passing through the window is reduced. A portion of the re-imaged infrared radiation is reflected from the filament passes through the window, whereby the effective emissivity of the lamp in the infrared range is increased.
