The invention relates to a sphygmomanometer which is used to measure blood pressure over a long period of time, in particular, a sphygmomanometer which measures blood pressure over a 24 hour period, which comprises a cuff which is arranged on the body element, a measuring device which is used to determine blood pressure data, a control device which is used to automatically activate the measuring device at predetermined time intervals, and a storage device which is used to store the blood pressure data which is determined during various measurements. The invention is characterised in that the sphygmomanometer is embodied as a portable device wherein the measuring device, the control device and the storage device are part of a device body which is secured to the cuff.

L'invention concerne un tensiomètre servant à mesurer la tension artérielle sur une longue durée, notamment un tensiomètre servant à mesurer la tension artérielle pendant 24 heures, comportant une manchette pouvant être appliquée sur un membre, un dispositif de mesure servant à déterminer des données de tension artérielle, un dispositif de commande servant à activer automatiquement le dispositif de mesure à des intervalles prédéfinis, ainsi qu'un dispositif de mémorisation servant à mémoriser les données de tension artérielle déterminées au cours des différentes mesures.
