An improved packaging material comprises an external layer of either polypropylene film or polyester film having an inner surface and an outer surface, a layer of ink printed on the inner surface of either the polypropylene film or the polyester film, a layer of adhesive applied over the layer of ink, an interior layer of co-extruded film comprising: (i) a first polyethylene film layer; (ii) a tie layer; (iii) an EVOH layer; (iv) a tie layer; and (v) a second polyethylene film layer; such that said layers form a single sheet with either an externally-facing polypropylene layer or an externally-facing polyester layer and an internally-facing polyethylene layer.
