ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a mixing impeller including a plurality of blades circumferentially secured around the mixing impeller and opened from the circumferentially adjacent blades on the mixing impeller which has a rearwardly contracting configuration. The mixing impeller when rotating within a fluid takes in and impels the fluid internally through the mixing impeller which is further provided with open and generally lateral exhaust outlets for discharge of the fluid. Subsequent motion and energy transferred to the fluid through such rotation provides a superior and more efficient purging circulatory flow ideal for destratification of fluids and solid-fluid suspension.
