The mixing mechanism is recessed and well positioned at the inside the base of the travel mug. The base includes a structure that rotates shaft that moves the propeller in order mix the contents of the travel mug. This Thermos/mug can contain any liquid to be stirred such as coffee, tea, chocolate milk or even soup The Stir Cup is very easy to clean, simply rinse with warm water. It does not require any batteries.
