2372R SPIN FIBER LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spin fiber lubricant composition is disclosed. The composition is essentially comprised of a liquid carrier having therein an ester of the general structural formula Image (I) wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are hydrocarbyl groups preferably in the form of alkyl groups containing 1-6 carbon atoms. The composition may also include an emulsifying agent. The composition has been found to be useful in connection with providing materials with lubricating properties which are desirable for the spinning of fibers.
