The present application is directed to a spinal implant (10) , preferably a bioresorbable spinal implant, for insertion between vertebrae bodies. The implant preferably includes an anterior surface (12) , a posterior surface (14) , first and second lateral surfaces (16,18) extending therebetween, a superior surface (20) for engaging one of the vertebrae bodies, an inferior surface (22) for engaging the other vertebrae body, and a central bore (30) which extends from the superior surface to the inferior surface. The central bore preferably has a generally lobe- shaped footprint. The anterior surface of the implant preferably includes a pair of vertical channels (40) sized and configured to engage an insertion instrument and the superior surface preferably has a convexly curved surface extending substantially from the anterior surface to the posterior surface while the inferior surface preferably has a substantially constant taper extending from the anterior surface to the posterior surface.

La présente invention concerne un implant vertébral, de préférence un implant vertébral biorésorbable, destiné à être introduit entre deux corps vertébraux. Cet implant comprend de préférence une surface antérieure, une surface postérieure, une première et une seconde surface latérale s'étendant entre celles-ci, une surface supérieure destinée à entrer en contact avec un des corps vertébraux, une surface inférieure destinée à entrer en contact avec l'autre corps vertébral et, un alésage central qui s'étend de la surface supérieure à la surface antérieure. Cet alésage central comprend de préférence une empreinte généralement en forme de lobe. La surface antérieure de l'implant comprend de préférence une paire de canaux verticaux dimensionnés et agencés de façon à entrer en contact avec un instrument d'insertion et la surface supérieure possède de préférence une surface incurvée de manière convexe s'étendant sensiblement de la surface antérieure à la surface postérieure alors que la surface inférieure comprend de préférence un évasement sensiblement constant s'étendant de la surface antérieure à la surface postérieure.
