- 1 - TITLE OF THE INVENTION SPINDLE HEAD AND ARBOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spindle head adapted to a spindle secured at its one end to a face plate and arranged movable axially, with a rotative force being given to said spindle through trans- mission gears, said spindle having provided in its inside a center shaft to which the rotative force is transmitted from the transmission gears through differential gears and which normally rotates at the same speed as said spindle, wherein the rotation of said center shaft is differentiated from that of the spindle by worm wheels engaged with the differential gears to effect forward (feed) or backward (return) movement of the tool holder. There are also provided in this invention a spindle head mounted with a means for moving the spindle axially by the rotative force from the transmission gears, and an arbor having a center shaft and mounted replaceably on said spindle head. - 1 -
